I just wanted to say that today I went to see the "Fallen Ranger Memorial" signs. My heart was overwhelmed!!! It is so awesome what you guys do and I hope that every Ranger student that passes that sign pauses in their hearts just to remember them. To them, they don't see faces of their comrades but to me I do, it hurts knowing what they have done for us and to some people they are just names. One thing though in the Ranger community, you are not just a name, you don't need a face, you are BROTHERS. God Bless You! |

Rangers,I am in the mountains of Colorado for the next several weeks and wanted to send a brief message. I will miss the Ranger Hall of Fame induction ceremony for Doug Perry as I know many of you will. I am writing to congratulate Doug for his selection and most importantly to thank him for his dedicated service and sacrifice to our great Nation. Doug is a “National Treasure” and has never forgotten what it means to be a true Ranger buddy.
I would encourage everyone, as many of you already have, to congratulate Doug at this site as a way of showing your support if you are not able to attend the ceremony June 11th at Fort Benning. I hope someone can get a copy of Doug’s official biography, and hopefully a transcript of his acceptance comments, so we can all share in this great moment for Doug, his family, and fellow Mountain Rangers.
I have re-deployment coming in July and hope to do a fast, hard hitting tour, that puts me home around Thanksgiving and the late deer season. Take care Rangers, and please send you’re congrats to Doug either at this site, in person, or at the ceremony.
