Came across the site quite by accident. Was set back a bit to see Joe Alderman listed as deceased. I served with Joe in the 1st Bn back when that was there was. If memory serves me correctly he and I were in the first dozen or so assigned to the Battalion when we were still at Benning. Never had the opportunity to go through Ranger training as I was promoted out of the Battalion before I could attend, but I thought Joe was one of those indestructible types. Nations would rise and nations would fall but Joe would be there regardless.
Now as I fight HRC in order to get recalled and I look at head full of gray hair every morning I think back to those days. |

I have some pictures from the ceremony Wednesday, but being the low tech person I am, I can't figure out how to get thim on this site. Can someone send me an e-mail address where I can send then or even a snail-mail address and I will send a CD? Thanks. RLTW.
