Therefore, I have no authority to contact anyone about it. The organizations involved have spent over a year and $35,000 to get the Moving Wall to Blairsville. Personally, I believe they deserve the right to set the agenda. |

Posted: 09/25/2015 Name: Bob Williams Message: SGM(Ret) Roy Hamby was the VA rep in the Union County area when I was medically discharged in 1988. He helped me get the appropriate VA benefits for which I am truly grateful. I don't know about his service record, but he is a pillar in the community and remains a valued servant to veterans. |

Posted: 08/21/2015 Name: Bob Williams Message: The class in question began with 381 males and 19 females and graduated 94 men and 2 women. I find it interesting that if modern Ranger School is so "easy," why did 304 candidates not meet the standards or out-right quit. I graduated with class 9-82 and we were the first to graduate 50% of the students. We started with 200 and finished with 104 graduates. At that point in history, people commented we must of had an easy class. Maybe we did; I don't know. I do know that nothing that happened then or today diminishes the feeling of accomplishment that my Ranger Buddies and I felt at graduation on 7 July, 1982. Congratulations to all 96 new Ranger School graduates. |
