On Jan. 15 (Sun.), at 1400, there will be a ceremony at Camp Merrill to honor and spread the cremated ashes of COL(R) Fred Scruggs. This distinguished soldier served on active duty for 30 years, primarily in Special Forces. He served at Camp Merrill in 1967-68.

All are invited to attend. The service will be conducted at the bridge to the airstrip. Coffee and fellowship to follow in the Overhang.

Message: Jim, We did have a meeting. Moving forward with the CCO. I will be in charge again this year. We need for those who donate to step up. Our game donations have dropped in recent years.

We also need a lot of you distant Rangers to order some tickets for our fund raiser with the raffle tickets(See the Web Page) We are nearing the end of sales and need to finish that endeavor.

Cold here in the mountains, with a lot of moisture falling down. Waiting on Spring also. Keep your nose in the wind, and your eyes along the skyline! RLTW

Message: Well, darn. If you can't believe the Army, who can you believe? No, seriously, in my research I've found the Army is often the last one to believe. Richardson will go on my list. But, this is the reason we do this back and forth banter, isn't it? Even though you can't remember the years for Open House, look at all the stuff you dredged up just talking about it. The idea is to get it right, as much as possible. I thank all of you for your great memories.
