Posted: 12/31/1969 Name: Chuck Windham, Secretary Message: Good day to all you Rangers, and this one is for you Jim. The USMRA held the monthly meeting on Oct 2nd, 2014. There were 17 world class warriors present, and President Hawk called the meeting to order at 1911 hours, in the mist of Gumbo, Brats, and Baked Beans being consumed by those Rangers present. A late thankful prayer was offered by Mike Conley in the absence of our Chaplain Willard Langdon. We missed our Bannana Pudding, but our Secretary's wife sent a most welcome substitute pudding, along with her world famous baked beans. This was our annual eat and meet gathering. Ranger Mike brought the very best Gumbo yet, and is to given a loud hurrah for his effort. After a reading of the previous month's minutes, and a treasurer's report, both were accepted and the meeting moved forward. Old business revealed that no word was received on the action to include the USMRA as a voting member to RHOF. J.D. and Steve is to meet face to face with a representative, and a hopefully a favorable report at the November meeting. Discussions were held on our activities for Thanksgiving, and our Christmas efforts to assist the post personel. A report will follow! Our treasurer, Mark had a very good thank you card done, so we can be a bit more cilvilized for contributions to the USMRA. The meeting closed at 1952 hrs. |

I'll ride the bike race again this year, but after, we will have to get together to drink beer and tell lies. Seems like the older I get, that's the one place that brings me back to sanity. Something about soldiers. |
