Posted: 12/31/1969 Name: Al Parten Message: Smokin' Joe, If i ain't mistaken it was " 1st Bn Ranger 75th Inf " no Regiment. Of course I am a young gun, only got there in 78, still I don't recall there being a designation of a Regiment till later on after 3rd Batt was organized, and then a Regimental HQ formed at Benning.
