Posted: 07/17/2020 Name: Tom Wilburn Message: Today, 17 July USMRA members Tom Wilburn and Jason Wistowski traveled to FBGA to present unique handmade plaques to the winners of the 2020 Soldier, NCO, and Officer of the year for The Ranger Regiment. 1LT Robert Pollack, SFC Ryan Alberti, and SPC Calvin Fntee. The Soldiers will continue competition at the next level. The plaques, made from North Georgia cedar and Walnut were handcrafted by Mr. Rick Harris especially for USMRA to present to the awardees. Rick did a beautiful job on these one of a kind awards and we appreciate his attention to detail and willingness to help USMRA present a memorable keepsake. USMRA also attended a coordination, synchronization and informal meeting at the Infantry Center Museum Conference room to share ideas and information concerning the different organizations that are available to help assist Rangers in a variety of ways. Eleven Organizations / Foundations, including USMRA, presented brief overviews to help best inform those in attendance about each organization. We will post more information about this effort and the on-going effort to ensure all Rangers understand what each Organization or Foundation is able to do for Rangers. |

Posted: 07/14/2020 Name: Bob Williams Message: I want to give a big THANK YOU to Nelson Tractor Company, Inc. They just provided us with a major donation that will go along way toward hosting our Veterans Unstoppable retreat being held August 30 - September 5. Nelson Tractor has two stores, one in Blairsville, GA, and another in Jasper, GA, each selling Kubota and New Holland equipment. They are the only business I know of that has a designated Veteran parking spot. Stop by and check them out. |
