Message: I wanted to let the community know that Willard Langdon is in NE Ga medical center since last Saturday. He was released and started having issues again and was re-admitted. Prayers for him and his family would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have three brief things that I wanted to post about.

First, I wanted to thank everyone who participated and volunteered to help at this year's CCO. It was an all- star effort by many, especially the Association leadership who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make this thing happen. There are too many to recognize individually but I wanted to say thanks to all who annually do so much to make this a very special event.

Next I wanted to congratulate COL (R) Jerry Cecil on his selection to the U. S. Army, Ranger Hall of Fame. He was one of three individuals submitted for consideration for this years RHoF class by USMRA.

Finally I wanted to congratulate General Chris Cavoli for being selected to be the Commander of U.S. European Command and also as the NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR). He is a former Mountain Ranger Camp Company Commander and a fantastic leader. Also leading the way are former Camp Merrill officer MG (P) Jamie Jarrard who formerly Commanded the 25th Infantry Division and now moves into the Deputy position at PACOM as his third star is approved. Also BG Mark Landes is now the CG at First Army Division (East) after a successful Command as the first SFAB Commander. I had the privilege to serve with each of these great warriors and wish them the best as they continue to lead our Army at the highest levels. Mountain Ranger Camp is a key step for so many great Officers! Great job by all three of these hard charging Rangers!

The 2022 Critter Cookout was a smashing success. It's hard to estimate the number of USMRA folks present Friday evening, but it was a lot more than anyone anticipated. We were also joined by the majority of the 5th RTB soldiers and family members. The event turned out to be a great time of fellowship and interaction between Rangers of a multitude of eras.

A special thanks goes out to the Overhang Club, the 5th RTB Command group, and especially those who worked so hard preparing the food. We salute you!
