Posted: 10/31/2022 Name: Bob Suchke Message: I am sad to announce the passing of one of our members, Ranger Jack Thrasher. Jack was Ranger Class 6-70 Honor graduate. He served in A/2/325 in the 82nd Abn Div. During his 1st tour in Vietnam he served with A/1/503 & D/4/503 173rd Abn Bde. He was a Ranger Instructor at MRC 1971-72. On a second tour he was Sr Advisor to the 22nd Vietnamese Ranger Bn. Jack was born and raised in Montana, earned an appointment to the Air Force Academy, chose an Army Commission and elected to become an Airborne Ranger. He ultimately became a Captain during his time serving during the Vietnam War. During his service, he earned two air medals, four army commendation medals, the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry, and the Vietnamese Ranger Badge. After his retirement from the service, he continued to advocate for veterans’ organizations, and proudly wore his Ranger apparel throughout his life. Jack will be missed by all who knew him. Recommend that we continue this format for all future Oct meetings. As an exclusively Ranger and Ranger Family event, it represented one of the finest examples of Ranger Brotherhood. Ed Gross |

Posted: 09/28/2022 Name: Michael Perry Message: Thomas Watkins “Tom” Perry, Jr. passed away unexpectedly on September 21, 2022. Tom graduated from the 4-71 Ranger School and spent some memorable time with P Company (Airborne) 75th Infantry (Ranger) Regiment in the RVN. Service will take place at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. Specifics will be shared soon. Tom greatly enjoyed his time with the USMRA, especially the Critter Cookouts! RLTW |
