John was an RI at CFM in the late 60’s, two tours in Vietnam, and Foreign Service Officer in Kuwait when Iraq invaded in 1990. The event is a great way to honor our fallen soldiers. If you would like to participate but are unable to walk, run, or bike up the three miles to Cooper Gap, there is plenty you can do to support the event. My family and I were thrilled with the display of precision and dignity both at the church and at the graveside. I realize this note will probably not get to those directly involved, but I wanted to tell you all just how perfect the service was. Willard would have been so proud! |
