Posted: 12/31/1969 Name: Willard Langdon Message: Ross was a friend to me and all the Rangers and we all loved and respected him. He was a sound-minded, dedicated person who loved history and people. He gave me some valuable advise on my last book and hooked me up with his publisher. He set the standards high and captured a lot of history that would have been lost without his hard work. Posted: 12/31/1969 Name: Al Martin Message: During the recent storm a couple of nights ago a tree branch fell through Earl Singletary's roof causing damage. The main tree is a monster and we would like to cut it down for Earl. The proceeds will go to the Mountain Ranger scholarship fund. We would like to get a couple of Mountain Rangers to help us out limbing and cutting down the tree. Weather permitting we will cut down the tree on Tuesday 28 March. Posted: 12/31/1969 Name: Jim Regan Message: Joey .: We wore no rank during the Course. However, on graduation day, General Creighton W. Abrams was surprised to see ; a Marine Captain, and three Marine Lieutenants standing with the Enlisted Platoon. As he pinned on our Ranger Tabs, he really stood tall as his pinned the Tab on five NCOs, "Buck" Sergeants, from his Division, the 101st Airborne. That was one exciting graduation for all involved.
