Our next Meeting on Oct. 6th is the annual Eating Meeting, this is a " pot luck " thing so those that come are asked to bring a food item . Dan Rhodes will pick up some burgers and dogs to supplement what we may be short of. If I can get a time frame as to when you all want to start showing up it will help, hope to see more there than at the last couple meetings, less than a dozen members. Any questions you can call me . Posted: 12/31/1969 Name: Mike Keohane Message: I have mentioned "Ranger" Rachel, the little girl, my sister's friend, who has Down's syndrome & back & leg problems since birth. Watching her struggle through her daily exercise routine made me call her "Ranger." There is no "give up" in her. My sister sent me a picture of Rachel in a science exhibit pulling her-self up with a rope and pulley. The rope was a "climbing rope" and she was wearing "climbing gloves." I took the liberty of telling her that she is in "basic mountaining." If I can get her parents to leave California, maybe we can borrow the sixty foot cliff and have her pass the basic course. |
