Welcome to the U.S. Mountain Ranger Association

The mission of the USMRA, as stated in our constitution, is to promote brotherhood among US Army Rangers.

We meet the first Thursday of each month at our host location, Camp Frank D. Merrill, home of the 5th Ranger Training Battalion. For those who have not had the opportunity to return to CFM, we have gathered for you several pictures in our Photo Album. We hope they bring back many great memories.

Membership in the USMRA is simple. All that is required is to be a graduate of Ranger School or have served in a Ranger unit during combat operations. There are no membership dues. We are a non-profit group and operate only by donations.

The USMRA currently supports several activities. Among them are: the USMRA Scholarship Fund, the CFM Christmas Fund, the 5th RTBn Soldier & NCO of the Quarter award plaques, the 5th RTBn Marauder Day award plaques, and co-sponsor the Lumpkin County Memorial Marker Project.

We also contribute in various ways to many local activities for the benefit of the active duty Rangers, their families, and their community.

This web site is not about the USMRA. It's about that beloved encampment at the end of nine-mile road just north of Dahlonega, Georgia. It's about the TVD, Cooper Creek, and Mt Yonah. It's a humble tribute to the great men, past and present, who have earned the right to wear the coveted black and gold--the RANGER TAB.
