The 2008 Critter Cookout will be held at Camp Merrill in conjunction with the 5th Ranger Training Battalion Open House and Ranger Run.

The 2008 Critter Cookout will be held at the Mountain Ranger Camp just north of Dahlonega, Georgia on May 10. On Saturday morning the camp will be packed with runners participating in the Ranger Run. Also, a large crowd is expected for the Open House activities. If you arrive before 1400 on Saturday, plan to park outside the camp. After 1400, you will be able to bring your vehicle near the cookout AO which will be near the NCO Club.

Bring something along and throw it on the coals for a late lunch. The menu is the same as always: if it found its way into your sights, it's fit for the Critter Cookout. Plan to eat beginning around 1500. The good stuff won't last long! You can do like you did as a Ranger student and sleep in your favorite planning bay! There is not a better place to spend the night than on Camp Merrill in the fellowship of Rangers.

We will conduct the USMRA meeting on Saturday at 1500 hrs. There will not be a Thursday night meeting for the month of May.
